EXtracurricular and Work Experience

Dance!

Since 2014 I have belonged to the dance competition and high-performance team of Dance Force Center. This team competes three times a year; two competitions are national, and one is international. In addition, the members of this team have to attend and participate in different events and presentations throughout the year, including recordings, festivals, exhibitions, sports psychology courses, among others. The competition team has four levels, with Company 3 being the most advanced. I have belonged to it for the last three years.

During my participation in this team, I attended a large number of international and national competitions. In the last three years I participated in the following:

National

  • The Dance Revolution

  • Jump Ciudad de México

  • Impact Querétaro

International

  • Jump Chicago

  • Radix Dallas

  • Jump Orlando

  • Jump LA

More Dance!

For the 2019-2020 school year, I was selected by my academy to be part of a new team called Senior Elite. This group comprises 7 girls who were chosen for our leadership, commitment, dedication, and talent. This program aims to promote the integral growth of its members and allow them to develop their leadership, educational skills, choreography, and technical knowledge. In addition to going to classes and rehearsals, I attend courses on humanistic disciplines related to the educational process of dance, including learning psychology programs, teaching methodology, pedagogy, nutrition, anatomy and kinesiology, and choreographic workshop others.

Stanford PC

In the summer before the 2019-2020 school year, I was chosen to participate in the Stanford Pre-Collegiate Summer Institutes program. This program lasted two weeks and was held at Stanford University. In this program, I attended classes related to different careers and courses in which they sought to develop the participants' cognitive, social, and teamwork skills. During this program, I lived with students from different parts of the world, and we had to work together to create and identify solutions for social and global problems

NHS

I have been a part of the National Honor Society since the 2018-2019 school year, so I have been a part of it for 10th, 11th, and 12th grade. NHS participants must possess the following qualities: service, leadership, character and scholarship. During my time at NHS I have participated in the organization and development of different activities including Health Day, Spirit Week, Random Act of Kindness, Teacher's day, among others.
